Nathan is an Associate Professor in Economics at Oxford University and a Tutorial Fellow at Merton College, Oxford. He is a co-founder of the Industrial Policy Group with Professor Reka Juhasz (UBC). His interests are at the intersection of political economy, industrial development, economic history, and empirical methods. His current research agenda is focused on establishing basic facts surrounding industrial policy practice. Before Oxford, Dr. Lane was an economics professor at Monash University and co-founder of SodaLabs.io. Previously, he was a postdoctoral researcher at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
