Bio
Stefan Link is a historian of global political economy at Dartmouth College, New Hampshire. His work concerns the role of states in the history of economic development. He is the author of two agenda-setting essays: "How Might 21st-Century Deglobalization Unfold? Some Historical Reflections" and, with Noam Maggor, "The United States as a Developing Nation" (2020). His prize-winning book Forging Global Fordism: Nazi Germany, Soviet Russia, and the Contest Over the Industrial Order explores how the 20th-century automobile industry arose from state competition over industrial buildup.
